49 Hours. One Prompt. One Film.
Think fast, collaborate, and bring your story to life! The LCA Filmmaking Challenge invites GITAM students to write, shoot, and edit an original short film within 49 hours.
The genre will be revealed on 16th October at 4 PM at Shivaji Auditorium, and the timer starts at 6 PM. Submit your film by 18th October, 7 PM.
What’s at Stake?
- Top 2: Opportunity to pitch a feature film to a renowned production house.
- Top 5: Short film screening and access to workshops by leading industry directors.
- All Participants: Entry to LCA’s next big event!
Rules & Guidelines
- Films must be created entirely within the 49-hour challenge.
- Theme, genre, and mandatory elements will be revealed at kickoff.
- Films must be original, under 5 minutes (excluding credits), and submitted in Full HD MP4 format.
- English subtitles, team credits, and royalty-free or properly licensed music/assets are mandatory.
- Judging will consider story, direction, performances, cinematography, editing, sound design, creativity, and use of the assigned prompt.
- Late submissions or rule violations may lead to disqualification. The jury’s decision is final.
Eligibility: GITAM students only. BTS footage is optional.

Respect the Space & People
Treat the venue, hosts, fellow participants, and staff with courtesy at all times.
Sobriety & Conduct
Please arrive sober and in good spirit. Entry will not be permitted if you are intoxicated, under the influence, or behaving in a disruptive manner.
Host & Venue Discretion
Entry is subject to the discretion of the host and venue management. If your behavior is deemed inappropriate or unsafe, you may be denied entry or asked to leave.
No Refund Policy
In cases of denied entry or removal due to misconduct, intoxication, or violation of guidelines, the entry fee will not be refunded.

• For any reason if the event is cancelled from our end, the amount on the poster will be refunded and not the transaction fee.
• For any reason, if you are unable to make it to the event after registration, the amount will not be refunded or carried forward.
• Spot registrations are subject to availability. Entry is not guaranteed and spot entries will not be eligible for refunds, carry forwards, or compensations. We recommend registering in advance.
