Scope and who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how NextGen CommunitieVerse Private Limited (“Communitie”, “we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, stores and protects personal data when you use communitie.in, events.communitie.in, our mobile applications, official community channels and other services that link to this Policy (together, the “Services”). Communitie helps people discover communities and experiences, register or purchase tickets, receive updates and interact with Organisers. If information is necessary to provide a feature and you choose not to provide it, that feature may not work.

04 / Purpose

How we use information

We use personal data only for legitimate, disclosed purposes, including to:

  • create, authenticate and secure your account and keep your profile current;

  • show relevant communities, events and venues based on your selected city, location and interactions;

  • check availability, create and fulfil bookings, issue tickets, support entry, and process cancellations or refunds;

  • process and reconcile payments, prevent duplicate transactions and investigate fraud or abuse;

  • send confirmations, reminders, changes, safety information and other service messages;

  • provide support, handle complaints and resolve disputes;

  • operate, troubleshoot, secure, analyse and improve the Services;

  • measure feature performance and understand aggregated usage without sending analytics providers direct identifiers that are not needed;

  • send optional recommendations, offers and community updates where permitted and subject to your choices; and

  • comply with law, respond to lawful requests, enforce our Terms & Conditions and protect people, rights and property.

    Note : Depending on the activity and applicable law, our processing may be based on your consent, fulfilment of a request or contract, compliance with law, or certain legitimate uses recognised by law. You may withdraw consent for future processing where consent is the basis, although this will not affect processing already completed.

05 / Disclosure

How we share information

We do not sell your personal data. We may share the minimum information reasonably needed with:

  • Organisers, hosts and venues to issue or validate a ticket, manage capacity, provide accessibility support, deliver the experience and resolve a booking issue.

  • Service providers supporting hosting, databases, authentication, communications, analytics, maps, customer support, fraud prevention, ticketing and app infrastructure under appropriate contractual safeguards.

  • Payment participants such as payment gateways, banks, card networks, UPI providers and fraud-prevention providers to process, verify, reconcile, refund or dispute a transaction.

  • People you choose when you share a ticket, booking, invitation or other content using a feature.

  • Professional and legal recipients including auditors, insurers, advisers, regulators, courts and law-enforcement bodies where reasonably necessary or legally required.

  • Corporate transaction participants in a proposed or completed merger, financing, restructuring or transfer, subject to appropriate confidentiality and legal protections.

    Note : Organisers may independently use information received for fulfilment, venue security, legal compliance and support under their own privacy practices. We encourage you to review any event-specific notice before booking.

06 / Transactions

Payment information

When you pay, authorised payment providers collect and process the credentials needed to complete the transaction. Communitie typically receives a payment token or reference, masked method information, status, amount, refund details and fraud signals. We do not receive or store your UPI PIN, CVV or complete card number. Payment providers may retain credentials or tokens for future transactions only in accordance with their terms, your instructions and applicable law. Their independent handling of payment credentials is governed by their own privacy notices.

07 / Device controls

Location and device permissions

You can choose a city manually. If you permit device location, we may use a precise or approximate location to show nearby experiences and centre map features. We do not request background location for ordinary discovery. Depending on the feature, the Services may ask for access to notifications, camera or selected photographs. For example, photo access may let you choose a profile image and notifications may deliver booking reminders or important changes. We process only the information made available through the permission and relevant feature. You can change permissions in your device settings. Turning off a permission may disable the related feature but should not prevent you from using unrelated parts of the Services.

08 / Technology

Cookies, SDKs and analytics

Our websites and apps may use cookies, local storage, software development kits and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, measure performance, diagnose failures, prevent fraud and understand how features are used. Analytics events are designed to avoid direct contact details, precise coordinates, raw search text, payment credentials and other sensitive fields unless a disclosed feature requires them. We may use aggregated or de-identified information for reporting, research and product planning. You can manage browser cookies through browser controls and mobile permissions through device settings. Blocking necessary storage may prevent some features from working correctly. Where the law requires consent for non-essential technologies, we will offer an appropriate choice.

09 / Storage period

Data retention

We keep personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy. The period varies by data type and may account for the life of your account, booking and support needs, fraud prevention, security, backups, dispute resolution, and legal, tax, accounting or regulatory obligations. When information is no longer required, we delete, anonymise or securely isolate it. Backup copies may persist for a limited period before scheduled deletion. Account deletion does not automatically erase records we are required or permitted to retain, and it does not cancel an existing booking or unresolved transaction.

09 / Protection

How we protect information

We use administrative, technical and organisational safeguards designed for the nature and sensitivity of the information, including access controls, encrypted transport, secure credential storage, monitoring and vendor controls. Payment credentials are handled by specialised payment providers. No system or transmission method is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You can help by protecting your device, account access, one-time passwords and ticket credentials, and by reporting suspected misuse promptly.

11 / Your control

Your rights and choices

Subject to applicable law and reasonable identity verification, you may ask us to:

  • confirm whether we process your personal data and provide a summary of that processing;

  • correct inaccurate or incomplete account information;

  • delete personal data that is no longer needed, subject to lawful retention;

  • withdraw consent for future processing where consent is the basis;

  • manage optional marketing, notification and device-permission choices; or

  • address a grievance about our handling of your information.

    Note : You can update certain details and preferences in the Services. For other requests, use the contact information below. We may ask for information needed to verify your identity and protect your account. We may decline or limit a request where permitted by law, including where it affects another person’s rights, conflicts with a legal obligation, or is manifestly unfounded.

    You may nominate another individual to exercise applicable rights on your behalf in the event of death or incapacity, where this right is available under law. If you are dissatisfied with our response, you may pursue the grievance or complaint mechanism available under applicable data-protection law.

12 / Younger attendees

Children’s information

Communitie accounts and purchases are intended for adults. Certain family-friendly experiences may permit an adult to provide limited information about a child to complete a booking. The adult confirms that they are the parent or lawful guardian, or are otherwise authorised, and consents to the limited processing needed for that experience. We do not knowingly create behavioural profiles of children or direct targeted advertising to them. If you believe a child’s information was provided without valid authority or consent, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

13 / Infrastructure

Storage and international transfers

We primarily serve users in India, but our affiliates and service providers may process information in India or other countries where they operate. When personal data is transferred, we take steps intended to ensure appropriate contractual, technical and legal safeguards and comply with applicable restrictions.

14 / Outside Communitie

Third-party links and services

The Services may link to or integrate with an Organiser, venue, map, social network, payment provider or other third-party service. This Policy does not govern personal data that a third party collects directly or uses independently. We do not control those privacy practices, so please review the relevant notice before providing information.

15 / Updates

Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy to reflect changes in law, technology, business practices or the Services. We will post the revised version and update the effective date. If a change materially affects your rights or how we use personal data, we will provide additional notice or seek consent where required.
